Her orthopaedic surgeon showed Paige an x-ray of the fracture for the first time. The break was more dramatic than we had realized. Paige should know by June whether further surgery is needed.
The post winter break migration to Kent passed near our house, and several friends stopped in to see Paige. The visits were wonderfully uplifting.
Tutoring and physical therapy capped off a busy day.
Paige!

Good Morning Paige, it sounds like your fellow Kent mates & teachers are the best medicine! It is wonderful that they visit often and keep you connected to the school you love.
ReplyDeleteI hope our comments are posted somewhere, of late we are having a most difficult time doing so, but please know we think of you daily and look forward to seeing you soon. Lots of love, Ellen Vreeland
Paige,
ReplyDeleteYou should be receiving a little something from the "Hicks" down South this week! Enjoy!
We love you.

Paige,
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I feel like a total jerk for not writing to you earlier. My jerk of a brother, Max Drucker, hasn't given me your email yet and doesn't tell me anything about anybody from Adirondack Camp. I am doing alot better. My surgery last summer, which is why I wasn't at camp, went well. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after the surgery, my right kidney failed. Anyway, I've been back to school since the beginning of October. PLEASE get well SOON!!!!
Talk to you later,
Mary Drucker
Paige, I am so happy you're home in your own bed, looking out your own window at your own backyard, padding around your own hallways and eating your own mom's food You certainly showed those doctors and therapists who's the boss- and, naturally, they're thrilled that you did. You are awesome! Keep up the good work. Lots of prayers and good thoughts coming from North Carolina
